Like most beautiful places, the journey to get there is just as breathtaking as the final destination. Elafonisi was no different. We drove in from Chania on the north side of the island. The road crosses a rugged and scenic mountain, winds through a tunnel barely wide enough for one car, and eventually drops down to a stunning natural landscape. Along the mountainside drive, there are a handful of beautiful villages and towns that you must weave through. Each one...

We left Tel Aviv at sunrise. Our reservations confirmed that we would spend that evening sleeping in a Palestinian refugee camp. The goal was to get from the sunny coast of Israel to the divided and fought over land of Bethlehem. Regardless of how much planning or research went into the road trip, we would never be prepared for the adventure that lay ahead....

The sun is bright and delicate. The early morning shades of gold and yellow flow through the window and flood our entire room. The breeze is crisp and lingering, the kind that tickles your arms and tightens the skin on your face. Investors, developers, and enthusiastic vacationers poured their heart, soul, and saving’s accounts into making The Salton Sea the next big thing. Now, it is a disappearing and slightly disturbing museum of failed dreams and post-apocalyptic landscapes. This place might not be a sought-after resort town, but it has a charm all its own....

Safari : Southern Africa There are few experiences in life that excite you down to your core. Few moments that leave you in awe, mouth open, eyes wide, and completely speechless. A safari is one. Imagine herds of hundreds of elephants walking mere feet in front of you, prides of lions chasing buffalo, and a stray giraffe walking in front of your car. Imagine being tucked back in the African bush, far from civilization. Landscapes that rival storybooks and crystal clear...
